| Description: |  Happy New Year!! Harmony Explosion! 2026 will be held on Saturday, February 21 at Grace United Methodist Church (11485 South Ridgeview Road, Olathe, KS 66061). You are invited to attend and participate in this fun and exciting free event. Gateway (our 2025 District Championship Quartet) will return this year as the Featured Quaretet. Harmony Explosion! provides an opportunity for Middle School and High School students to sing and perform on stage for an audience of students, teachers, family members and friends. Students can learn and sing Barbershop music in quartets or in larger groups – with a common goal to promote 4-part a cappella singing in a mistake-friendly environment that encourages participation and performance with plenty of support and fun! Everyone will enjoy the 4-part a cappella harmonic sounds created by singing Barbershop style music. The top 3 most important aspects of Harmony Explosion are: #1 – get the students to sing and perform on stage! #2 – get the students excited about singing a cappella music on their own and with their friends! #3 – teach the students that singing is a life-long hobby – they can participate in school, in college, as young adults, and throughout their lifetime.
